Clearfield Roof Replacement

We recently finished a roof replacement in Clearfield, UT. Our team successfully removed the old asphalt roofing from the house, and replaced it with new 7/16” OSB board to help improve the strength of the roof and to give us a sturdier surface to apply the Malarkey Vista Black shingles. We also installed a ridge vent to ensure the longevity of the shingles and to prevent the attic from overheating. In addition to the replacement, we installed new gutters as well to increase the functionality of the new roof and improve the home’s overall appearance.

It is possible that eventually a roof will need to be replaced. When the roof of Rod’s home experienced issues, they called us out to examine it. We presented him and his wife with multiple options to resolve their roof concerns, including a complete reroof. Their main concern was that they had been in their home for 22 years and wanted a durable, long-lasting new roof that would last a lifetime.

To provide the ideal roof for them, we identified a new roof that has a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty. They chose to use Malarkey’s Nex shingles from the options provided because of the extended warranty. These shingles also contain new polymer technology in their asphalt.

Though this option wasn’t the cheapest route, it was the best fit for Rod and his family. Due to the installation of this roof, they will never have to worry about replacing their roof again. Even if an issue arises, the warranty ensures that they will be covered for life.

When the roof at Staghead Designs contained several leaks, we visited their location to provide diagnosis. Ultimately, they decided to repair some pipe penetrations that were sealed improperly on the warehouse, which may have lead to further issues. They also decided to have their office reroofed.

In order to complete this process, we tore off the existing ag panels and installed a TB Metals 1-1/2”x16” 26 ga. deep black mechanical seam roof over Sharkskin Ultra SA on the entire roof. Their roof is a 1:12 slope and the panel installed was suggested by the manufacturer. We also installed new flush panel commercial style soffit and fascia, as well as new 6” raingutter.

Throughout the process, we discovered that one of the leaks was caused by the HVAC contractor running the condensate line through the exterior wall, underneath the existing roof panels. Through our roofing services, we were able to resolve the leaks and restore the roof to pristine condition. Staghead Designs will no longer have leak issues. In addition, the new aesthetic matches the new interior remodel they completed 1 year prior.
