The roof is an important component, because it protects the interior of the building from damage. This particular new construction building was located near Park City, which experiences a substantial amount of snow during the winter months. It was important to ensure that the roof was capable of removing heavy loads of snow to prevent the possibility of damage due to the weather. This meant that it was vital to ensure that the roof had a lower slope.
We installed a TB Metals 1-1/2”x16” 24 ga. dark bronze mechanical seam roof over Sharkskin Ultra SA on the entire roof. The slope of the metal roof sections ranged from 1:12 to 1-1/2:12. It was important to install the mechanical system, as it’s recommended by the installer for lower slopes applications. We also installed dark bronze 60 mil PVC on the section that were 1/4:12 slopes.
The completed product provided a valuable solution for the newly constructed building. This roof will last a lifetime and protect the Farr’s beautiful mountain home, even with the heavy snow accumulation that their home will experience during the winter.
